Report provided by Coosa River Guide Service
September 5, 2016
It doesn't matter if your fishing for striped bass, bass or crappie. The bites slow and the ones that are biting are small. Lake Jordan bass guide Chad Miller reports fishing is slow, plenty of small to average fish being caught, 1-3 lbs. But the bigger fish bite is almost non existent. Flipping docks has produced the few bigger bites we've been getting. Striped bass guide Jeremy Veitch reports almost the same thing, plenty of small to average striper being caught when there running turbines. But the bigger fish are hard to get the bite from. Live shad 4" - 6" have been working best.
Fishing will improve as soon as the temps start to cool off. With the way the weathers been this year that time might not come till October.
