Teasing your way to big Bass

Nobody likes to get teased right? Well, it's the same thing for bass. Fish stike NOT only because
they are hungry, but because of their instinct. Just like any other animal, bass have the natural instinct
to feed. When they see something that looks like food, smells like food and sounds like food they will
strike even if they aren't hungry! Crazy hun? But to make them strike, you still got to tease them a little.

My story starts in the afternoon at around 12:00pm. I had just recently caught a good amount of
bass earlier that morning. But because it was getting hotter the fish were getting lazy. And nobody likes
lazy fish....why? CAUSE THEY DON'T BITE AS MUCH! They are just like any normal human being... Let's say
your back from a long days work and you sit in front of the T.V. You wouldn't mind a snack but you don't
feel like getting up. The only way you would eat a snack is if it came to you right? Well you got to bring
the food to the bass for them to eat it! A good way to do that is a steady,slow-medium retreive using the
ocational twitch. The best type of lure for this situation would be somthing that looks natual, smells
natural, and emits as much vibration as possible without having to use a fast retrieve. Nothing says that
like a soft plastic bait. Try a tube bait, worm, grub etc. Don't put a wieght or jighead that will make the
lure sink too fast, you want to leave the lure right under the fish's nose as long as possible. Even if
the fish isn't hungry, if tactic is well used the fish will strike anyways. You might even catch the same
bass twice in the same day.

If one day your out on the water and the fish are being lazy, tease them a little. Make them smell
your lure, wiggle it in front of their noses. They will fall for the trap sooner or later!
