Kajun Limb Rods

The first noticeable thing about a Kajun Limb rod is the guides appear
to be on backwards. Spiral wrap guides are different and unique. USA
made blanks with eyes place around the rod make Kajun Limb a rod that
cast further, is more sensitive, and delivers the hook with power.
Kajun Limb got its name from the idea that a Cajun can cut a limb out
of tree and catch a fish in Louisiana. Kajun Limb rods are light years
from a simple wooded switch.
Kajun Limb Rods are built with a spiral placement of guides. The first
guide on a casting rod is on the top of the rod. The next few eyes
are positions to move the line flow around the rod to the row of guides
below the rod, similar to a spinning rod. This setup has several advantages
over the common guide setup. First, line flow is smoother. Efficient
line flow increases accuracy and distance with every cast. Next, hook
sets have more power because the string stays in line with the rod’s
backbone instead of rolling to one side. Finally, sensitivity is better.
With smaller guides and guides on the underside of the rod tip, any
bump, tap, or contact with the cover is transmitted to the angler.
It is the basic principle that a smaller, thinner tuning fork vibrates
more than a thicker one. The spiral wrap setup may look different but
the accuracy and power are improved by the designed.
Testing the rod found no issues. The seven foot medium heavy action
rod tested performed at a top level. Casting accuracy was great. Along
with a sensitive tip, the medium heavy action had enough power to put
a Stanley jig into every bass that bit. Rods are light which helps
with fatigue. Prices between 100 and 150 make it an affordable alternative.
Based in Baton Rouge, Kajun Limb Rods ship to just about any fishing
hole in the US of A. The best thing about a custom rod is each rod
is built to order. Cork or foam, split grip or one piece handle, and
other subtle difference are built to the user request. Give Kajun Limb
