Product Review - Kaenon Rhino Sunglasses – Polarized
by: Tom Branch, Jr.
Last week, I had the opportunity to test a pair of Kaenon Rhino sunglasses for the first time. The Rhino styles are wrapped style sunglasses that provide protection, performance and lightweight comfort. They provide excellent coverage and a confident look. This full-frame has a boxy shape that exhibits a delicately complex surface design. This feature allows them to be worn on the lake, walking down the street, and/or during some hard-core sports. I wear these on the water and at high speeds and got no wind in my eyes that would cause tearing with other sunglasses.
Some of the features I noticed included the patented nose pads; which use your body's chemistry to form a slip-resistant seal. The recessed nose pads are buried in the bridge area; they secure and comfortably anchor the frame in place on your face. The polarized lenses are lightweight, scratch-resistant, and fight off glare. Seven-barrel stainless steel hinges combined with an injection-molded TR-90 frame make these Kaenon Rhino sunglasses incredibly durable. All the Rhino sunglasses come with a micro-fiber cleaning bag and a lightweight sport case.

The name Kaenon (pronounced: KAY-nun) is derived from a Polynesian word meaning free. Kaenon was founded in 2001 by two brothers who wanted to create a better sunglass. Unsatisfied with the sunglasses that were available on the market, they developed a proprietary polarized lens and wrapped it in unique frame styles and color treatments to match their active lifestyles.
The sunglasses Kaenon has created have quickly become adopted by world-class athletes ranging from sailing to golf and baseball to fishing. However, unlike other sport sunglass brands available at the time, athletes did not remove their sunglasses as they leave the field. They have discovered that, for the first time, in their life sunglasses performed just as well as their previously worn "sport performance" sunglass, both on and off the field of play or the lake.
If you like large, full-coverage frames and top-quality materials, durable and scratch resistant, the Kaenon Rhino Sunglasses fit the bill. Remember, what I always say about quality eyewear, "You get what you pay for!" The Kaenon's - Rhinos are not cheap; their suggested retail is $ 179.00 and are available at Kaenon's website and at the Fishing Shop Over Supply Warehouse
